You can also use the Word Wheel to paste entries into the search box.
To search using a Word or a Phrase, type the word or phrase in the Subject box.
Example: to find if there are any references on the topic tropical cyclones, use the Subject Box and type tropical cyclones
To search using Keywords, type the first word then use & between the next and following words. Example: to find if there are any references about cyclones that have occurred in the Australian region, use the Subject Box and type cyclones&australia
To start the search, click the Submit Query button. To clear the search screen, click the Reset button.
The Number of Records found from your search is shown at the very top of your screen. There is a limit of 50 records that can be displayed at one time. Click the buttons to retrieve the Next or Previous batch of records.
In general, case and punctuation are ignored. If you wish to include punctuation characters within a phrase, surround the phrase with quotes.
You can use a wildcard symbol (*) at the end of a word, to find words beginning with the characters you typed. A search for cyclon* will find cyclone, cyclones, and cyclonic. Typing as much of the word as you can before the * will improve your response time as well as improving the accuracy of your results.
