To find an Author or Name, it is usually sufficient to use the Last Name or Surname only.
Example: to find a book written by Bob Crowder, use the Author Box and type crowder
You can also use the Word Wheel to paste entries into the search box.
If the Surname is likely to result in too many hits, you can type a word in the Title or Subject box to narrow the search.
You can use a wildcard symbol (*) at the end of a word, to find words beginning with the characters you typed. A search for Black* will find Black, Blacke, and Blacker. Typing as much of the word as you can before the * will improve your response time as well as improving the accuracy of your results.
To start the search, click the Submit Query button. To clear the search screen, click the Reset button.
